Who it's for
Little Legend is for parents, guardians and other grown-ups making a story for a child. It is not meant to be used by children on their own. Please don't give us more about a child than a first name or nickname.
What we collect
- Your story choices: a first name or nickname, an age range, the adventure, sidekick and lesson you pick, and the optional "loves" and look choices. We use them only to write and illustrate your story.
- Your email, if you unlock a story. We use it to send you your story link, answer you, and, if you ticked the box, the occasional note about new stories. Unsubscribe any time.
- Payment: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- A scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address, kept with each story only to stop abuse, such as one person making hundreds of stories.
We do not ask for photos, we do not use advertising trackers, and we never sell your information.
How stories are made
Stories and pictures are generated by AI models running on Cloudflare's network, under rules written for young children. Your choices are sent to those models only to make your story. Every story is new, but AI can make mistakes, so please read it first, as you would any book.
Where stories live and how long
Each story has a private link that is hard to guess. Anyone you share the link with can read it. Free previews that are never unlocked are deleted automatically after 14 days. Unlocked stories are kept so you can come back to them. You can delete a story any time from the "⋯" menu on the device that made it, or email us and we will delete it.
Price, refunds and cancelling
The free preview costs nothing. Unlocking a whole book is a one-time payment, shown before you pay; there is no subscription. If you are not delighted, email us within 14 days of paying for a full refund.
Fair use
Please use Little Legend for personal, family and gift use. Don't try to make content that isn't suitable for children, and don't overload the service. You may print and share your own stories with family and friends.
The fine print
Little Legend is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it running and the stories gentle, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us. These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina. If we change this page, we'll update the date at the top.
